450 existing providers monitored each year

The staff recruits, trains, and monitors child care offered in private homes for the Arizona Department of Economic Security/Child Care Administration. We help providers fulfill all the state licensing requirements to ensure their home is safe and a healthy environment for children. Monitoring visits occur quarterly to check for compliance of the imposed licensing regulations. Training is offered to all newly certified providers within the first 90 days of certification.

Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R)
(no cost to parent or provider)
Thousands of Internet searches each year
500 calls per month

CCR&R is a statewide program that helps families find quality child care. The staff fields phone calls and internet inquiries from parents. Once we know the child’s age, personality, special needs, and the general vicinity the parents are looking in, we can give them a list of child care centers and homes to research. We also give parents a checklist to use when visiting a child care center or home. Legally, we cannot personally recommend any child care center or home.
