Strengthening Families is about building a strong families! This internationally-recognized program, will give you and your youth the needed tools in order to face and use their decision making skills to walk away from negative situations such as drugs, alcohol, and peer pressure.. You will learn how to support and appreciate each other, understand your family values, set goals and dream big, deal with stress and handle peer pressure, and be a stronger family and have fun!

Yo Soy tu Niña

Dinner and Family Movie Night

Come talk about how you can keep a healthy and honest relationship with your child as they begin dating. The movie, Yo Soy tu Niña, is about a teenage girl who begins dating an older guy. When her dad finds out that guy is sexting his daughter, he gets so mad he damages the relationship with his daughter. After the movie, you and your child will be part of a guided conversation focusing on how to talk about dating, relationships, and sex without getting stressed out. You don't have to start the conversation by yourself!   Watch the movie trailer.

Teen & Parent Night

Teen & Parent night is a great place for you and your teen to learn about sexual health. You can both learn about forms of birth control, including abstinence, and how to avoid sexually transmitted infections (STI). Your workshop presenters will use fun games and exercises to help the conversation. You and your teen can get on the same page about dating, relationships, and sex.

Parents as Sexuality Educators

Children and teens look to their parents/caregivers for information about relationships and sex. Your guidance is important in shaping their feelings and behaviors about dating, relationships, and sex. In the workshop, presenters use fun exercises and examples to prepare you to talk to your child and be their primary source for information about sex.  You can be a positive influence in their choices!
