Infant/Toddler Institute - Infant/Toddler
caregivers receive free, comprehensive training with on-site
technical assistance. Training is based on a nationally recognized
curriculum. Participants receive credit hours and financial incentive

child care providers receive training, technical assistance and
professional development. This program recruits and trains people

free statewide training program which enhances the skills of family
child care providers in the areas of child development, nutrition,
and the business of family child care. Training also includes a

Choices for Teen Parents - Provides
educational services, parenting and life skills training, case
management, health services, job development/ placement, referrals
to community services, mentoring and parent support to teen parents.
Services are provided in collaboration with Child & Family
Resources, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Parents Anonymous, Yuma
County Health Department, Yuma Private Industry Council and Yuma
Union High School. In Yuma only.
Girl Talk / Guy Talk Prevention Programs - Middle-school-aged
youth learn skills to help them resist sexual activity, drug and
alcohol use. They build strong futures in fun, gender-separate,
after-school clubs. A summer program is offered at two school sites.

Centers for Adolescent Parents - A
comprehensive program offering GED prep, parenting life skills
education, career development, and free on-site child care. Available
to young mothers ages 16-21. In Tucson and Phoenix.

foster children and former foster children ages 13 to 21 in their

services that enhance and strengthen the capacity of individuals,

Pre-Adolescent Diversion Project - Youth
(8 to 12) and their families are referred by Juvenile Court to
participate in a workshop series. Here they learn new strategies
to manage anger, solve problems, and improve family communication.
Youth also complete valuable community service by working on age-appropriate
projects throughout the community. In Tucson only.
Young Father's Programs - Assist
young fathers in accessing community services, preparing for the
GED test, establishing paternity, learning parenting and life skills,
and building a lifelong commitment to their children. In Phoenix

Youth Empowered for Success (YES) - Develops
youth leadership to prevent teen suicide within selected high schools
in Pima County. Teen youth and mentors develop and implement prevention

Artisans - Provides
in-home assistance through a collaboration of community agencies
to families referred by Child Protective Services. Families are
offered parenting and life skills education, assistance in accessing
community resources, crisis intervention and emotional support.

in-home family support services through a community-based, multi-disciplinary
collaboration. The continuum of services promote positive parenting,
enhance family functioning and assist families in maintaining self

Early Intervention for Infants & Toddlers
- Provides home-based intervention
for infants, toddlers and their families who meet the eligibility
criteria set by the Division of Developmental Disabilities. In
Tucson only.
Healthy Families - A
community-based home visitation program which provides support
services beginning at the birth of a child or prenatally. Healthy
Families is designed to reduce stress, enhance family functioning,
promote child development and positive parent-child interaction,
and minimize the incidence of abuse and neglect. In Douglas, Nogales,
Phoenix, Safford, Sierra Vista, Tucson.

education classes help parents resolve conflicts in their families
