The Resilience Initiative empowers youth through community- and youth-led programming that addresses real-life challenges and opportunities for growth. Funded by Child & Family Resources, we are committed to filling the gaps identified by our communities—such as financial literacy, mental wellness, youth leadership, and personal development—so every young person has the tools and support to thrive.
Note: Funding for this program is provided at no cost to clients thanks to funding from grants and donations.

Emerging Relationships Workshop (curriculum)
For 5th- and 6th-graders ages 10 to 12, this workshop is grounded in the six principles of Positive Youth Development. It focuses on building skills in six key areas: character to strengthen self-regulation and decision-making; caring to develop positive relationship skills; confidence to recognize one’s strengths and personal growth; connection to practice healthy social skills; competence to set boundaries and managing risks; and contribution to apply knowledge to help others. Mind Matters (curriculum)
Designed for ages 12 and up, this interactive workshop is designed to address the effects of adversity and toxic stress & the healing process. Each lesson, based on science related to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), includes activities on increasing hope, overcoming adversity, and building resilience
Topics Include emotional regulation to practice mindfulness and self-awareness; stress management to build resilience and focus; empathy to improve communication and relationships; integrity to live with intention and honor; and support systems to gain confidence in seeking and offering help. Money Habitudes Teens (curriculum)
With tracks for Teens ages 13-18 and Adults ages 16-24, this program focuses on the behavioral dynamics surrounding money. It empowers participants to assess their financial tendencies, offering practical insights into the psychology of money, it lays a crucial foundation for financial literacy education. We equip young leaders with the skills and confidence to reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their communities. As a Resilience Initiative (TRI) Youth Leader, you’ll gain the following skills:
