About Us

Where Great Things Start Small

The saying “It takes a village to raise a child” has never been more relevant. At Child & Family Resources, we strive to be that village. Serving Arizona families, we provide education, prevention, and childcare support, helping parents navigate challenges while empowering children and youth to grow and thrive.

How We Work

At Child & Family Resources, we work by partnering with families, schools, and communities across Arizona. Through prevention programs, educational resources, and quality childcare, we identify needs, provide support, and empower children, youth, and parents. Our collaborative approach ensures every family has the tools to grow, thrive, and succeed.

Our History

Since 1970, Child & Family Resources has been dedicated to supporting Arizona families. Originally founded as The Tucson Association for Child Care, we’ve spent over 55 years addressing unmet needs, bridging gaps in social services, and providing quality childcare, education, and prevention programs to help children and communities thrive.

Our Leadership

Child & Family Resources is guided by experienced leaders, often drawn from the communities we serve, who are dedicated to empowering families, strengthening communities, and ensuring every child can thrive.

Our Values

Our Workforce and Services

At Child & Family Resources, we believe our strength comes from the people we serve and the people who serve alongside us. Today, 54% of our workforce and 51% of our leadership identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Multiracial, or from other historically underrepresented communities, reflecting our commitment to building a team that mirrors the families and communities we support. Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is ongoing. We continue to listen, learn, and evolve—because when our people feel seen, valued, and supported, our impact is stronger.

We also recognize that many LGBTQ+ individuals continue to face discrimination and exclusion in the workplace. At CFR, we are committed to fostering a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment for employees of all sexual orientations and gender identities. This includes ongoing learning, inclusive language practices, and actively challenging assumptions that can create barriers to belonging.
