Carol Lopinski

Carol Lopinski, MSW, LCSW, ACSW, has worked in the private non-profit sector for 30 years at Child Crisis Arizona (CCA) as the Senior Director of Children and Family Services. While there, Carol developed, implemented and supervised family support, early childhood, behavioral health, foster care and child welfare programs. Programs included family resource centers, early childhood home visitation and kinship and parent education models.

After leaving CCA, Carol was the Senior Director of Family Support and Literacy at First Things First (FTF) where she had oversight of six statewide family support grant strategies, most of which she had implemented in the community at CCA. While at FTF, Carol deepened the quality of practice for these strategies and worked collaboratively with grant partners to inform the changes in these standards of practice.

Carol became an advocate of the National Family Support Network (NFSN) and the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening (Standards) when they were first offered nationally and came to Arizona in 2013. Carol was certified in the Standards soon after. While at FTF, Carol required the use of these Standards as a part of their Family Resource Center Standards of Practice, while at the same time advocating for an Arizona statewide Family Support Network which is now thriving. Carol became an Arizona Standards Trainer in 2021 and a Master Trainer for NFSN in 2022 facilitating both in-person and virtual training

In 2017, Carol started her own consulting firm focusing on family support practices. Carol Lopinski and Associates, LLC, has supported Arizona state government, non-profit and community-based projects since its inception. Some projects included supervision, mentoring, conference planning, evaluation, quality assurance and strategic planning.

Carol is a founding steering committee member of the Maricopa Family Support Alliance which began in 2011, and continues in that role.
