Pregnancy and parenting do not come with directions. Let us support you, share our knowledge, and provide resources to help raise a healthy, happy child.
Using curriculum from Parents as Teachers, our educators will help you gain positive parenting techniques and increase your child’s school readiness and success.
This program is for parents who are expecting or parenting a child aged birth to 4 years of age and who live in the service areas of La Paz, Mohave and Maricopa Counties.
The program is provided at no cost to families. There are no income or insurance requirements to apply.

Parents as Teachers Early Intervention
If your child is struggling to talk, walk, or play with other children their age, it’s time to seek out help. We provide an array of programs geared toward helping children develop at the appropriate rate. Our early intervention measures can dramatically improve your child’s growth.
The program is offered at no cost, and there are no income or insurance requirements. Fill out the referral form or call today to schedule an appointment! Parents as Teachers Intervención Temprana
Si su hijo tiene dificultades para hablar, caminar o jugar con otros niños de su edad, es hora de buscar ayuda. En Child & Family Resources, ofrecemos una variedad de programas orientados a ayudar a los niños a desarrollarse al ritmo adecuado. Nuestras medidas de intervención temprana pueden mejorar drásticamente el crecimiento de su hijo, y estos servicios están disponibles para niños de hasta cinco años que viven en todo el condado de Maricopa. The Parents as Teachers program is offered in Maricopa, La Paz, and Mohave counties. Parents as Teachers Early Intervention is offered in the Maricopa and Pinal counties.
What to Expect as a Participant of Parents as Teachers
The Parents as Teachers Program assists in young children’s development through age five. A member of our team will meet with you over the course of your child’s first five years in order to identify the best approaches to caring for your child and helping them develop properly.
Our program includes all of the following:
- Strategies for developing communication, motor skills, and social development
- Parent coaching
- Fun developmental activities
- Missing developmental milestones
- Lack of ability to crawl by 10 months
- Lack of ability to walk by 18 months
- Trouble speaking or understanding at least 50 words by 2 years
- Stiffness and tight muscles
- Losing skills they once had
