Headshot of Martha K. Rothman

Martha founded Child & Family Resources in 1970. In Martha’s early life she worked as a teacher, where she first started to serve her community. In 1962, Martha and her family relocated to Tucson, AZ where she served as editor of the Arizona Jewish Post. Martha was an avid volunteer who shared her time with the National Council of Jewish Women and the United Way of Southern Arizona. Martha believed that we are only as good as the quality of our care for and connection with others, and this lead her to the founding of Tucson Association for Child Care, later renamed Child and Family Resources. Martha served as executive director of the organization from its inception in 1970 until her retirement in 2004. Martha’s lifelong commitment to the community was an inspiration to all those she touched.

We build strong communities where children can reach their full potential
